Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, circa 1904 — Chestnut Street and the U.S. Post Office. This ready-to-hang wooden framed print features a carefully restored historical photograph from the Detroit Photographic Co. archive.

The Detroit Publishing Company photograph preserved by the Library of Congress shows Chestnut Street and the old U.S. Post Office complex at Ninth Street. The federal building extended from Chestnut to Market Street and served not only postal functions but also federal and court uses, making it a major civic presence in this busy commercial district.

The photograph has been digitally restored to recover detail, tonal separation and clarity while preserving the character of the original image. Printed on premium matte paper and supplied in a pine wood frame with shatterproof transparent plexiglass and hanging hardware, the artwork arrives ready to hang — no additional framing is required.
