America’s Lost Landmarks is a 2027 wall calendar devoted to demolished buildings and vanished architectural landmarks across the United States. Through restored historical black-and-white photographs, it revisits the grand hotels, railroad stations, theaters, towers and public buildings that once shaped American cities but no longer stand.
Each month presents a different view of America’s lost architectural heritage, inviting a closer look at historic urban landscapes and the buildings removed through demolition and redevelopment. Drawn from the Detroit Photographic Company collection, the archival photographs have been digitally restored to recover detail while retaining their historical character.
Created for architectural historians, preservationists, photographers, urban-history enthusiasts and anyone fascinated by lost places, this calendar is both a practical wall calendar and a visual record of America’s disappearing built environment.
